Home Finds — No. 01

Peel & stick wallpaper & wall stickers

A whole wall, changed in an afternoon. No paste, no painter, no permission — completely renter friendly.

Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through them I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what gets recommended here. Prices and stock move around, so check on the seller page.

Watch it go up

How it lines up, how forgiving it is, and the one bit that needs a slow hand.

What they actually are

A self-adhesive sheet — peel the backing off, press it on. Stickers are the same thing, cut into single motifs instead of a full sheet.

And neither one is only for walls:

On a wallInside cabinetsWardrobe shelvesDrawer frontsOld furnitureanywhere flat — get creative

Plain, smooth surface

Flat, clean and fully dry. Textured or freshly painted walls will not hold it.

Always measure

Width times height, plus a little extra for the pattern to match up.

Keep a card handy

Smooth it down with something flat — an old credit card pushes the bubbles out.

Where else to look

Beyond Amazon — Indian labels doing wallpaper and decals worth the scroll.

  • Jaypore

Craft-led Indian prints, for something with a bit of heritage in it.

  • Giffy Walls

A deep catalogue with custom sizing, so you can order to your exact wall.

  • Best of Bharat

Where the banana tree above came from. Big statement decals and smaller motif sets.

  • Trove Craft India

Decals and wallpapers in one place, so a sheet and a motif can be matched.

  • Kalakaari Haath

Hand-illustrated Indian decals. Good hunting for pooja corners and kids rooms.
